Handwritten Notes Just Hit Differently

When I was young, I would race to the mailbox every day, hoping to find an envelope addressed to me. I was ecstatic every time I'd find one. I would rip it open, read it immediately, then search for pen and paper to compose a response. I had a handful of pen pals, including my maternal grandmother, one of my fourth-grade teachers (I moved mid-year), and a French exchange student, just to name a few.
